Feature Explanation

This feature allows you to configure your specification templates so they can be approved by designated users — or by no approvers if preferred. It streamlines your workflow when receiving submissions from suppliers, ensuring the right people within your company review and approve (or reject) the information efficiently. Once all Sections are Approved which are applicable, it is now over to the Specification owner to Approve the Major Version of the Specification.

  • Step 1 - Setting up Specification (Multi Approve)
    • If you want to ensure that all assignees of a section need to approve it, before the Specification Owner can approve, then be sure to make sure the option highlighted below is ticked when creating the Specifciations:

    • Note - This can be changed at any point during the lifetime of the Specification Project

  • Step 2 - Completing Specification Template

    • Once you have created  your specification and go to publish it, you will be presented with the below options

    • Click section Approvers to pick your users

  • Step 3 - Picking your users
    • When selecting your Assignees, you have the option to pick multiple or just the one

      • Note - If you have followed Step 1 and Allowed it, then this would mean all of the assignees would need to approve that section before the Overall Specificaiton can be approved

    • Once you're happy, click finish!

  • Step 4 - Accepting / Rejecting
    • Once the Specification is returned back to you, depending on the user, they will get a notification to review the specification

There will be a review / progress bar at the top which shows how many sections need approval

    • Once you've navigated to your section and reviewed the information entered by the supplier, you can choose to accept / reject

    • Note - All Sections will need to be approved before the Specification can be approved by the owner
